Baughan Legal was founded by Amy Baughan in 2024.

Amy began in the legal sector in 2009 and has worked at firms of varying sizes over the following 15 years, gaining a wealth of knowledge along the way.

Each of those firms had two things in common, no matter their size: high caseloads, and high turnover or billing targets. Amy was frustrated by how this negatively affected the service available to clients, and saw that confidence in the specialised, nuanced residential conveyancing process and the lawyers that provide it was being gradually eroded from within.

In 2024, Amy decided enough was enough. Driven by the firm belief that clients deserved more than they were being offered in the current market, she set up Baughan Legal.

No targets. Much lower caseloads—often less than half that of most lawyers.
